Facilitating optimal care and recovery
Children of all ages engage in all kinds of activities, sports, work on the ranch, riding their bikes to school, etc. It is inevitable that a certain number will incur orthopedic injuries. The rising cost of healthcare and healthcare coverage has resulted in an increasing number of children at risk of not receiving optimal care.
In the year 2006, 80,623 kids who applied for help through the CHIPS
healthcare program were denied! It is the vision of The Orthopedic
Kneed Foundation to assist injured young people return to their pre
injury condition who are not covered by health insurance. Orthopedic
injuries vary in severity and though many can be treated with one visit
to the doctor's office or emergency room, there are others that require
further treatment and intervention for good recovery. The Orthopedic
Kneed Foundation's vision is to facilitate optimal care and recovery by
covering the various costs incurred such as hospital charges, operating
room expense, diagnostics, physical therapy, and rehabilitation.
An orthopedic injury can be resolved and it is our mission to get these
kids back "on their feet!" We treat youth whom are unable to receive
the care they need due to lack of adequate medical insurance. Read our Mission Statement.
